With our BBQs Direct Charcoal Cradle you can create various charcoal configurations for more cooking options. The cradle is designed to work in most Kettles, Bullet Style and Kamado grills and can be used in a variety of different ways to create direct and indirect heat zones.

Searing Zone - Position the Cradle with the small opening on top, volcano style. This creates a focused, extremely high heat zone directly above the cradle.

Indirect High Heat - Position Cradle as above but position meat around the outside away from the direct heat.

Indirect Low Heat - Position the Cradle with the large opening facing up, the charcoal placed around it, not inside it.
