BBQ HQ is located at BBQs Direct, 32 Stanley Street, Sydenham, Christchurch.

CLASSES: Our classes are for everyone and anyone wanting a jam-packed day full of meat, fire and smoke, building & improving on existing skills. Classes that include introduction to low & slow barbecue, to cooking with charcoal, briquettes, wood and pellet fueled barbecues, How to select the right cuts, details on trimming, seasoning, cooking and resting the meat. A wide range of dishes to cook and appetites filled!

WORKSHOPS: BBQ 101 - choosing the grill that's right for you, Experience cooking on an array of barbecues & smokers including instruction on fuel setups, lighting procedures as well as temperature management. Product specific, how to achieve the best results from your particular grill.

EVENTS: we will host events such as new product releases and celebrity meet and greets from time to time

COMPETITIONS: STEAK COOKOFF ASSOCIATION: Come along to our officially US sanctioned Steak Cookoff Association of New Zealand BBQ Cookoff Competitions. Watch as BBQ enthusiasts compete through the day for Cash and Prizes, Points and Bragging Rights!!

BBQ Competitions have become increasingly popular here in New Zealand, with BBQ enthusiasts now regularly coming together to compete at a sanctioned event somewhere in the Country almost every week! Contestants not only compete for attractive cash and prizes but also for competition points so they can ascend the NZ Competition Ladder to ultimately become the National Champion.

There is also a much desired Golden Ticket on the line - there's a golden ticket to be won in each category - giving the winner a direct entry to compete at the SCA World Championships held in Fort Worth, Texas, USA every year.
